About Us

My name is Donna, and this site is dedicated to Coupscurls Selkirk Rex. Whilst my Selkirk Rex journey has only been for the last few years, I have the pleasure of owning, showing and breeding birmans with my mum since 1994 under Brofield Birmans.

I have always admired the Selkirk breed and their wonderful curly coats. I was introduced to them quite some time ago and wanted to know and understand more about the breed, their history and how to care for this super coat. In 2022, my husband and with the help from some Selkirk friends surprised me with my first Selkirk Rex, a Cream Shaded boy, named Boucles Mango Mash. At first, we headed out to shows in both GCCF and TICA registries as a kitten and then to follow on his show career as a neuter. In 2024, Raven (Boucles Madame Moi Je), a tortie Selkirk Rex came to join the family. Both Raven and Mango were the proud parents of our first litter in 2025 to 5 kittens, two of the girls have remained with us.

Our first litter were named after Grand National winners and we are proud to have four out of the five successfully being shown across the UK and Italy.

I have been enjoying showing both girls, Coupscurls Rhyme N Reason (Shelby) and Coupscurls Many Clouds (Skye) in both Tica and GCCF. While in GCCF, there was a recent introduction for kittens to obtain Kitten Certificates and I am proud to share that both girls achieved their KC titles before moving into the adult classes. We will continue to show and post our successes.

Our commitment is to raise healthy, happy, and well-socialised Selkirk Rex cats that will bring joy to their new families.
